Training Outline:

Food and Beverage Service Training for Kitchen Staff of National Parliament

Program Aim

The training was designed for the kitchen staff of the National Parliament to impart skills and knowledge on how to properly serve Food and Beverage to honorable Members of Parliament.

Training Objectives

The training helped Parliament kitchen staff to improve on the following:

• Know the importance of their roles and responsibilities.
• Gain knowledge and skills on professional Food and Beverage service.
• Identify current workplace challenges and how to solve these.
• Improve on service

Topics of Instruction (Content):

Topics to be covered included:

• Introduction to Food and Beverage
• Importance of quality service
• The art of serving food
• Challenges in the work place
• Action Plan to solve challenges

Method of Delivery

The training was conducted by Solomon Host Officer Alexy Hilly for 3 days. Mode of teaching will included group discussions presentations and practical role plays.

Equipments and Resources to be used included Training manuals, power point, brown paper, exercise books and pens.

Training dates proposed for Early February 2011

Training Venue

On-site at the Parliament Kitchen for practicality and suitability to training needs and situation.

Trainee Assessment plan
Trainees were assessed on a daily basis based on their involvement and practical engagement in activities. No exam provided.
